- Professional Development Days
Professional Development Days are held in Melbourne and Sydney three times throughout the year, usually in February, May and August.
The sessions are strategic in content with a variety of sessions aimed to enhance the skills and knowledge of attendees. These sessions range from investment presentations, through to SMSF, Risk Insurance, Estate Planning and Practice Management etc.
- Annual Conference
The DKN Associated Community and Lonsdale Annual Conference is held annually and Conference presentation topics generally fall into the following streams:
- Strategy/Technical
- Practice Management
- Risk/Estate Planning
- Superannuation
- SMSF Technical Forums
Lonsdale runs bi-annual SMSF Technical Forums in February/March and August/September which are highly technical, and designed for SMSF specialists.
- Risk Training Sessions
This year's specialist risk forums will run concurrently with the SMSF Technical Forums in February/March and August/September. These workshops cater for practices looking to improve the quality and quantity of insurance written and up skill advisers on the structural methodology for providing appropriate advice and protection solutions.
- Leadership Forums
Lonsdale Leadership Forums are run bi-annually in Melbourne and Sydney. The forums include the delivery of the Catalyst learning modules and encourage representatives to share collective experiences and exchange ideas.
- Chairman's Council
Similar to the Leadership Forums, the Chairman's Council is a structured forum designed to encourage idea sharing and collaboration and include the delivery of the Catalyst learning modules.
- Catalyst for Accountants Network Meeting
Network meetings are informal gatherings of accountants with the aim of working together to assist each other at a practical level. The meetings cover topics such as:
- securing and retaining staff
- in sourcing skills
- monitoring workflow
- evaluating software
